The Community Family Enrichment Services Center of the Oranges (CFESC) was established as a faith-based grass roots human services subsidiary of The Seventh-day Adventist Church of the Oranges for the community. Organized in October 2007, CFESC provides various community services including life skills training, and health and wellness programs in the City of Orange Township and surrounding communities in Essex County, New Jersey.
The goal of CFESC is to strengthen families and economically disadvantaged adults, and at-risk youth by focusing on basic skills to meet their daily needs.
In its brief history, CFESC awarded two $500 scholarships to Orange High School, Class of 2008; collaborated with the Church in a Summer Camp in 2008; and launched the 2nd Annual Youth Life Skills Academy in December 2008. Through the Youth Life Skills Academy, CFESC was able to collaborate with several community agencies and business.
